Your account and data: what we keep, and who can see it

Every read you start in Coldbluff lives in your account, and nobody outside Coldbluff can open it until you share it. This page says what we keep for each idea and where it lives. The legal terms, how long we keep each kind of data and your rights over it are on the privacy page.

Fig. 1 · What we keep for each idea

For every idea we keep what you typed and the address of your site if you gave one. We keep your answers on page one and the story you confirmed. We also keep the line on what would make us say no, written when page three starts, with the scale it was scored on.

We keep every version of every section of the read, so a change never overwrites what came before. We keep the posts and pages the read quotes, each with its link, the place it was published, the public handle of whoever wrote it and its date. For each run we keep what it cost against your window, and which of the two ran it, you or your agent.

Fig. 2 · Where it lives in your account

Every account comes with a personal space that holds your reads and your plan. The plan belongs to that space, so the limits you see in the account menu are the space's limits, and your agent draws on them too. A read you start before you sign in belongs to a temporary visitor's space. When you sign in, with Google or with the link we email you, the read moves into your account with its sources and what it cost.

Your reads list, under Your reads in the account menu, shows every read in your space. A read that came from a change is named by the sentence that changed it.

Fig. 3 · Who else can see a read

Our own staff can open any read, to answer your questions and look after the service. Anyone else sees a read of yours only through a link you share, which opens a read-only copy for whoever has it. The copy shows the sections that have finished and their sources, and it leaves out your email, your account and what each part cost. You can stop sharing at any time, and the link stops working. Export a read covers the link and the other ways to take a read out.

To produce a read we send the text of your idea and the public posts we gather to the providers that write the sections. The privacy page sets out the terms they work under.

Fig. 4 · Deleting your account

The account menu has no delete button. To have your account deleted, email support@coldbluff.ai from the address on the account. If you pay for a plan, cancel it first, because we can't delete an account while its subscription renews. The privacy page says what happens to your ideas and their sources after that, and how long it takes.
