Their fix today On those days I’m just in survival mode until bed time so it’s often dinners of pepperoni pizza in front of the TV.

  • She refuses almost everything, except beige foods and meat. No fish or vegetables have seen the inside of her stomach in months!

    states the problem · r/toddlers · jollygoodcat · toddler parent · 17 Oct 2025source

Their fix today We don’t force her to eat anything but always offer a variety of foods

  • when I offer him real food he doesn't want it.

    states the problem · r/Parenting · Prestigious_Type3132 · toddler parent · 23 Nov 2025source

Their fix today From my last post i started eating together as suggested by other, it worked for 1st few days but now he doesn't want to eat.

  • I have tried a few times presenting her with just the combined food we eat, and mostly she'll eat very little, needs to be coaxed, goes to bed hungry and wakes up in the night upset that she's hungry, which isn't great.

    states the problem · r/Parenting · Brilliant-Book-503 · parent of a preschooler · 9 Feb 2026source

Their fix today I'm not entirely making my kid separate meals, but I almost always plan meals that can be deconstructed in a toddler friendly way.

  • The past few times we’ve served homemade pizza, he hasn’t been into it and just throws it on the floor, but he loves bread, so pizza became bread tonight.

    states the problem · r/foodbutforbabies · _laurelcanyon · toddler parent · 5 Jul 2026source

Their fix today so pizza became bread tonight.

  • At home she pretty much only eats beige foods, snacks and fruit if I’m lucky.

    states the problem · r/toddlers · kellogzz · toddler parent · 1 Dec 2025source

Their fix today I’ve tried the old trick of blitzing a load of veg into a tomato sauce and putting a bit on her pasta shapes but she just spits it out and tells me it’s “dirty”.

  • he won't eat those things cold and preschool doesn't warm anything up.

    states the problem · r/foodbutforbabies · GranniesOnABus · parent of 3-year-old · 4 Nov 2024source

Their fix today So I send cold things he'll eat and will keep him full enough for the whole program

  • But if they don’t, I’m not turning mealtime into a power struggle or letting them go to bed hungry.

    states the problem · facebook.com · Summer Nel · parent · 5 Jan 2026source

Their fix today I’ll make something I know they’ll eat.

  • he has always been very picky and lately all he wants is nuggets, fries, toast w peabutter or avocado, oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, apples, pasta, meatballs.

  149. [149]news.ycombinator.com, 2021-09-28“Launch HN: RescueTime (YC W08) – Redesigned for wellness, balance, remote work. My name is Brian Fioca and I’m the founder of RescueTime (https://www.rescuetime.com). We help people who work on computers understand their time, be more focused, and feel less overwhelmed. Although we got started back in W08, we’ve entirely rewritten our product to focus on wellness and balance in this new age of working from home, and it’s this new version I want to tell you about today. In 2008, we set out to answer the question, "where did my time go?" Those were the years of Web 2.0, and applications like Mint and Google Analytics were our inspiration. We spent years perfecting the ability to help people understand where their time goes, but people often told us to help them work smarter, not harder. Over the years, we switched to fully remote work ourselves, and found it's more important to build good habits and set healthy boundaries than to measure where your time goes—we’ve seen how that can be counterproductive when it leads to lack of balance. So although we started in the productivity/quantified-self space, we no longer think in terms of maximizing productivity. When most people started working remotely or from home, and with the world unlikely to revert to exactly the way it was before, we decided to rewrite RescueTime to reflect this new thinking. Unlike our original version, the new RescueTime is designed to be used every day. Instead of weekly reports we give you dail”news.ycombinator.com

I landed on kalpa after a long time researching, so, let me dump an overview of this new distro tech.# Terminology1. Immutable: The core OS (/usr directory) is kept in "pristine" condition by disallowing modifications. - Discourage installing packages or removing packages. - well-tested (as most users are running the same OS with same package version) - System upgrades are an entirely new immutable copy 2. Atomic/Transactional: Similar to atomicity in databases, where a bunch of operations are bundled into a transaction (atomic =indivisible unit), and it either succeeds completely or it fails completely. Just like that, a system upgrade succeeds or it doesn't. There's no partial package updates.NOTE: kalpa in particular, uses suse-microos tech called Transactional-Update https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP7/html/SLES-all/cha...# Atomic styles4 mainstream models of immutable distros:1. declarative-config: ALL your system configuration in a config file eg: package versions, network config, user accounts and so on. eg: NixOS, BlendOS2. OSTree-based: You use cloud/container (OCI) technology (eg: docker files) to layer upon existing layers (eg: pre-baked system images). eg: fedora's atomic spins, vanillaOS, endlessOS. My husband and I financed this wedding entirely ourselves (we are in our mid 30s, lucky to have good careers) and I have no regrets about the money spent because everything was high quality, exceedingly gorgeous and fulfilled our vision. We're both children of immigrants (I myself am 1.5 generation) and many "nice" things were never a possibility so to be able to do this was very special. Many guests remarked that it was the nicest wedding they'd been to. More importantly, it was everything *we* wanted. Onto the breakdown! Our wedding was on a Saturday evening in September 2024. **All-in**: \~$145,000 for 115 guests (\~150 invited). This is inclusive of almost everything, including pre-wedding stuff like invites, engagement photos, attire, etc. Jewelry (including rings) not included. We did not have a videographer, and did not take dance lessons. **Venue:** $13,500 | Legion of Honor * We had our ceremony on the lawn outside overlooking the water. This was $500 and is a separate contract with the City of SF. * Our cocktail reception was in the Rodin galleries (3 connected rooms housing the sculptures). * Our dinner reception was in the lower level: hall of antiquities + cafe + outdoor terrace. This is considered a "multi-level reception" and price for both Rodin and cafe/terrace level was $13,000 for a Saturday. * We booked in the fall of 2023. It looks like prices went up”reddit.com

This is Battlefield and we need everyone doing their job, not sweats like me who WILL be min/maxing open classes, it will be completely unbalanced and counterintuitive to the DNA of Battlefield. Just like the tweaks they made to 2042's class system that was met with overwhelmingly negative backlash, it's time to return ALL the way back not this inbetween stage of the class system we got. Just play it safe and return to the original class system EA, listen to the people who RELIABLY play your games, not these Call of Duty refugees that are only here for now, not the long run. *ADDENDUM TO* ***CLASSES*** *ABOVE: ASSAULT should NOT have a second primary weapon slot, make these soldiers give up their AR to have that sweet ass shotgun. Do not nerf that shotgun either, it's good as-is, just make us survive long enough to get in close with it, instead we are a one man army at range with an AR then have a shotgun handy for these close range engagements and that is really unbalanced in alot of our opinions.* **UI:** It looks like Netflix or a streaming platform right now. just give it all to us in vertical list format like the OLDEN days PL”reddit.com

If I wanted to say travel somewhere, just type it into YouTube and tons of videos and information to help plan.My family watches a lot more TV than me though. Last year we switched from Dish to DirecTV. Before Dish, we just had cable.I noticed going from Cable to Dish their quality of boxes and hardware was so much superior. The guide seemed laggy and slow on cable, while Dish seems awesome. I believe it's because Dish makes their hardware and software themselves, while the local cable company just buys CableLabs compatible equipment running on slow Motorola boxes running Java slapping their logo on the menu but otherwise I don't think the cable company really has much control over the user experience and just relabelling other people's products. I know the boot screen had a huge Java logo, and from my experience running Java based apps on the computer is slow too. We've also switched out boxes and had Scientific Atlanta and Cisco boxes. So haven't been impressed with cable. I'm thinking maybe the cable is more of a commodity now, while satellite has to be more custom. Only 2 satellite companies, multiple cable companies. As matron of honor, I’m expected to lead planning for the bridal shower and bachelorette party. Since the shower comes first, I asked my sister what vibe she wanted. She said elegant. Perfect. I told her I’ll organize with the bridesmaids and report back to her ideas that she can choose from/approve. I asked her if she had any ideas already, and she said no, but wanted to see what we come up with. She did say she wanted something that would accommodate a lot of people. I created a group chat with the bridesmaids to start planning. There are three other bridesmaids: two are my sister’s chi”reddit.com

  161. [161]r/Cruise, 2023-02-15“First Cruise - MSC Meraviglia Review. Hello! We just got back from our first ever cruise, and I wanted to share my probably-too-detailed review, because I looked for these when making my own decision. My husband and I took our 7-year-old with us on a 4-night cruise on MSC's Meraviglia. We decided on a whim only 2 weeks out to go on our first cruise (I’m such a planner, so this drove me a little crazy, especially since I was the only one with an active passport), and I looked for the cheapest cruise line I could find. I came across MSC out of Port Canaveral Florida at quite a bit less the cost (even including plane tickets) of a Carnival cruise out of SC (which would have been driving distance). I saw it had pretty mixed reviews here, but it seemed mostly based around the food, so we went for it. I’m super glad we did, as we had a great time! We mostly wanted to drink and relax, eat some food, and just take a break from life. We splurged on getting a balcony and paying an extra $300 ish per person for the “Aurea” experience, which let us choose our stateroom, eat dinner whenever we wanted without committing to a time (great, and also had a dedicated area to eat in the MDR), get 24 hour room service (which we didn’t use) and free breakfast in the room (only continental was free, hot food cost extra, so this was a waste, much better to just go to the buffet), have priority boarding/disembarking (I don’t know what was priority about embarking at 1pm for a 7pm cast off, but we”reddit.com

Welcome to our final patch notes article for Destiny 2. Well, that's a bit of a fib. We'll still have a few maintenance patches and smaller hotfixes after today... but this is our final *major* patch for Destiny 2. It's been an incredible ride. Thousands of patch notes shipped. A ridiculous amount of bugs squashed (released AND unreleased). Hundreds of typos fixed after publish (our bad...). Countless hours in triage meetings looking to do what's best by our players. Years of overnight shifts in the BNOC (formerly DOC). All for you. There were a few things that were unrelated... like emails about snacks missing from the studio kitchen or messages to our IT team apologizing for forgetting our passwords for the fifth time in a calendar year, but that's beside the point. Thank you for showing up with each release. Thank you for kicking down the doors and putting the servers under stress. Thank you for every bug uncovered and reported. Thank you for your patience (even if it was sometimes thin) while we dug into connection issues, crashing bugs, anteaters, weasels, guitars, or other hiccups along the way. "What I believe" is a rather broad category, and it would take a long time to answer all of that. Let's see what the other answers provoke and come back to this one. --Well, I think I've usually included that in my answers. What is the evidence that homosexuality is an in-born quality as opposed to a choice? How strong is it? There is my personal experience that I started being attracted to humans of one sex without consciously deciding to. I gather that this is a common experience for people of all sexual orientations, and I haven't heard of exceptions. There is also the logical consideration that if anyone was facing serious negative consequences for being gay and negligible benefits, and he could easily turn straight, then he would probably do it; I don't have the literature in my hands, but my impression is that if you look, say, a few decades in the past, you can find a fair number of gay people who (a) faced physical abuse and ostracism, (b) were very distressed by all this, (c) were not getting emotional support from the gay community because it didn't really exist yet, (d) could not plausibly be argued to have martyr complexes, and yet didn't "just stop being gay". 192. [192]r/JUSTNOMIL, 2018-05-30“Blast from the Past: CryBaby and Our Wedding Day. Very quickly before we jump into the wedding day drama, CryBaby messaged DH back on Facebook Messenger the other day. Still no apology; instead she \(again\) focused in on one tiny part of the larger message to try to refute: >All I said was that I thought this had went on long enough and that we should talk. So there’s that. Wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but in the scheme of things, not really a big deal. I’m still going back and forth between feeling justified in what we are doing and guilty or to blame for separating DH from his mother. Rationally, I know this isn’t my fault and I didn’t force DH to do anything, but still. Emotions don’t always make sense or match up with reality. It is what it is. Anyway, CryBaby didn’t really cause a big stink at the wedding itself, at least not that I noticed. My memories of the day are mostly untainted by her, since the three big pieces of drama she did dish up \(aside from her normal over\-the\-top behavior, anyway\) were mostly confined to the lead\-up to the day itself or told to me after the fact. So, in order: **1.** Of course, there had to be some drama concerning CryBaby’s dress. She didn’t go the traditional JNMIL route of wearing white; after all, if you remember from the Mom Competition posts, it wasn’t me she was trying to upstage at this point. While figuring out everyone’s attire for the wedding, I figured there would be some kind of something from CryBaby; I had w”reddit.com

We had the most beautiful wedding surrounded by everyone we love who was able to be there, and it truly was one of the best days of our lives. When I first met my MIL, (54), and my SIL(26). everything seemed completely normal. We saw each other for holidays, family dinners, birthdays, and other gatherings. I'd occasionally get invited to spend time with them, and I thought we all got along well. The more time I spent around Kyle's family, though, the more I started noticing cracks in the family dynamic. It quickly became obvious that SIL ran the household. Everyone seemed afraid of upsetting her. Conversations would stop when she entered the room, and if she was in a bad mood, the entire family was in a bad mood. It was honestly exhausting to watch, especially seeing the stress it put on Kyle. Eventually, Kyle moved in with me. Without any influence from me, he slowly began recognizing these unhealthy family dynamics himself and started putting the pieces together. Things stayed relatively peaceful for a few years, even if they weren't perfect. Then, after SIL got married, she announced she was pregnant. Everyone was thrilled. There were hugs, congratulations, and endless conversations about the baby. At the time, I was a broke graduate student working toward my master's degree.
